Review:
A very good quality recording of PiL's "warm up" gig ahead of their extensive US tour last April/May.

From the very start of this bootleg it's obvious that the appreciation for PiL shown by Americans since the 80's is still in force. It's a pity British audiences have never been as enthusiastic about the band as it certainly makes for great bootlegs. The band (especially Lydon) seem to feed off of the audiences energy. A very powerful performance.

I have no idea where, in the relation to the stage the bootlegger was positioned and it must be said that the music sounds ever so slightly distant and the bass could do with being a little more prominent in the mix, although it is still a great recording.

The band make a stage break between Disappointed and Religion (to facilitate bathroom requirements) and the bootlegger thankfully hasn't edited out the ensuing minutes of audience noise so the recording appears pretty much as it occured. There's nothing worse than cuts and edits.

A very recommended bootleg.
